We’re always looking for experience carpenters & joiners with tool ready experience and/or experience related trade skills, preferably working with heritage or wooden windows.

We have opportunities for a permanent position with room to grow in both workload and responsibilities.

For an organised and skilful person, with great communication skills, there is also the possibility to become a team leader enabling you to manage a small team in various locations across Australia.

Attitude is everything, so you must be respectful of each client, as they will be trusting you to work inside their beloved home. 

About the role

Following the direction of the Lead Carpenter, the role includes addressing wood rot repairs and overhauling windows and doors, including the installation of draught/acoustic seals, machining and re-glazing. 

The position descriptions is as follows:

  • Adhere to Sealasash policies and procedures.
  • Carry out daily work activities in an efficient, safe and environmentally compliant manner.
  • Uphold and encourage Sealasash Values at all times and maintain a high standard of work in accordance with Sealasash policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures including reporting safety issues.
  • Be professional and courteous at all times.
  • Ensure that the van(s) is stocked, tidy and clean.
  • Show initiative and be willing to learn new skills and apply them to work.
  • Attend training and development where required.
  • Share new ideas and innovation.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be open with communication.
  • Maintain Sealasash confidentiality at all times.
 
 
Depending on previous experience, supervision skills or a desire to assist in this area will be viewed as a positive. 
 
At times some travel will be required for which allowances apply.
 
All applicants MUST have a manual vehicle license and providing you own tools is desirable.
