Sealasash recently completed one a large heritage projects; the Philip Smith Centre in Hobart, Tasmania. Built in 1911, this significant property required careful, detailed work to preserve its historic fabric while improving comfort and efficiency for modern use. Over a period of seven weeks, our team carried out an extensive draught sealing Hobart project across the building’s windows and doors – a challenge that combined scale, tradition, and technical expertise.

The Philip Smith Centre features a remarkable collection of timber windows, all of which had deteriorated over time. Cold draughts, rattles, and inefficient operation were affecting the building’s comfort and performance.
