Collins Street

Hobart, Tasmania

This art deco building, known as the Tepid Baths, was built in 1938 for the Tasmanian Education Department. It served many generations of students as a place to learn to swim. A recent redevelopment required the facade to be conserved and Sealasash worked on over 30 windows that had sustained heavy vandalism. Original windows were retained and where necessary repaired, then reglazed with thermal glass and draught sealed.
