One Day Course: Sash Window Repair & Maintenance
In partnership with the Centre for Heritage at Oatlands Sealasash Hobart’s lead carpenter, the wonderful Phil Grant, will be tutoring a one day course on sash window repair and maintenance.
Participants will learn about the history and basic structure & function of traditional sash windows and how to undertake maintenance and basic repairs to keep windows operating.
They will assess windows for condition and learn how to disassemble and undertake repairs to sashes and frames, including rail / glazing bar repairs, epoxy repairs and re-cording weighted windows.
Participants will also learn how energy-efficiency features can be retrofitted to old windows.
